Our Church Staff and Leadership

Our Church depends on the energy and style of the people who are a part of our staff and leadership. Here are a few of the people that make Lutheran Church of Martha and Mary special:

Ken Johnson, Pastor

Pastor Ken Johnson has been leading our church since January 2010.  He brings with him many years of experience as a Lutheran pastor in a variety of settings.

In addition to leading our church, Pastor Ken serves on the board of RefugeeOne. Go to Pastor Ken's biographical statement to learn more about him.

Michael croppedMichael Stutzman, Director of Music

Michael Stutzman has been Director of Music at the Lutheran Church of Martha and Mary since spring, 2001.  He enjoys working with the Senior (adult vocal) Choir, Bell Choir, and Moving Mountains (contemporary worship) band, as well as providing organ, piano, and keyboard music in support of the congregation's song.  Trained in classical piano performance, Mr. Stutzman previously served as Director of Music for congregations in Queens, New York and Chicago, Illinois.

Ann Gay, Christian Education DirectorAnne Gay

Ann is no stranger to our Sunday School and Youth program.  Not only did she grow up in this church, she has been leading our Sunday School kids and youth for over 15 years now.

Ann received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ashford University in Clinton Iowa, majoring in Education and minoring in Business Organization.  She currently co-teaches in resource and reading improvement at a middle school in Brookfield.  In addition, she is the teacher liaison for Student Council at the same school. She is also raising her own family, which includes her husband and three sons.

Ann is always looking for new and exciting ways to bring the story of God’s love to the kids so they can let their little lights shine in this world!
